Naperville, IL – March 31, 2026 – Moran Technology Consulting, Inc. (Moran), a leading higher education management and technology consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Kathie Koch has joined the firm as an Executive Delivery Consultant in its Management Consulting Business Unit.
Koch brings 20+ years of experience in providing enterprise technology solutions, most recently as CIO at Columbia College Chicago. Her areas of expertise include management, strategic planning, analysis, design, architecture, development, process engineering, and successful deployment of solutions to address clients’ needs and business problems. Koch brings a unique combination of CIO experience at multiple institutions with decades of executive level consulting and advisory expertise.
At Moran, Koch will support the expansion of Moran’s Management Consulting Business Unit, focusing on refining strategy, operations, and delivery across ERP Transformation, Digital Transformation, AI, Data & Analytics, and future service lines, to ensure that Moran’s client engagements continue to reflect the firm’s expertise, contextual insight, and strategic value. Demand for Moran’s services has surged over the last several years as institutions navigate a complex and increasingly turbulent environment for higher education, experiencing 28% growth over the past three years.

“Adding this role reflects our commitment to delivering advisory work that is not only high quality, but consistently strategic, contextual, and actionable for our clients,” said Eric Hoffman, Vice President of Management Consulting. “With expanding service lines, we need a unifying force that brings consistency and cohesion to how we deliver. This role ensures our clients experience the same level of excellence across every engagement. Kathie’s unique combination of skills as an experienced executive level IT leader and consultant makes her the right person to help us navigate growth while maintaining our commitment to the highest standards of clarity, rigor, and executive-level insight.”
“Like many of my colleagues at Moran, I was a client of the firm first. Part of what drew me here is Moran’s commitment to client partnership – I know from my own experience that ‘once a client, always a partner’ is more than a motto for Moran,” said Koch. “We are in a challenging time for higher education, where institutions need support charting a course more than ever. This role represents a unique opportunity to extend my focus to supporting the full spectrum of higher education institutions while helping Moran scale with intention. I’m excited to focus on structure, repeatability, and cohesion in our growing delivery model so we can continue expanding while maintaining the high standards that define Moran.”
“I have had the pleasure of working with Kathie as both a consulting colleague and a client during her 20+ year career as an executive IT leader. I am thrilled that she is now part of our leadership team at Moran,” said Scott Weyandt, Vice President – Digital Identity & Security. “As our firm grows, we’re investing in the structures and leadership that support scalable, repeatable, and high impact delivery. This role is essential to building the next chapter of Moran’s growth.”
“Like Scott, I have worked with Kathie across several different roles in several organizations, and I could not be more confident that she is the right person to take on this new position,” said Charlie Moran, CEO. “As Management Consulting’s Executive Delivery Consultant, she will strengthen the foundation we need for sustainable growth and help ensure that every client experience continues to reflect Moran’s deep expertise and strategic insight. We are fortunate to have the right person coming in at exactly the right time to help us meet this need.”
