Moran Technology Consulting, Inc. (MTC), a premier IT management consulting firm partnering with the higher education and research community, today announced the appointment of Adam Vedra as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Senior Consultant. 

In his new role, Vedra will focus on bringing cybersecurity and compliance solutions and insights to higher education clients. Leveraging his deep information security and higher education expertise will bring immense value to the higher education community. Vedra is charged with developing a team of cybersecurity experts capable of delivering creative and impactful solutions for the risks and unique challenges that colleges and universities face.

Vedra has over 20 years of practical hands-on experience leading IT infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives in higher education, including developing security strategies, processes, policies, and programs. Most recently, Vedra was the Associate CIO and CISO at Calvin University in Grand Rapids, MI.  In addition, he has been teaching cybersecurity at the university level for 6 years and has a faculty role in the Educause Institute. Vedra has also served as an advisor to the Higher Education Information Security Council (HEISC).
